News / Szczecin is saying goodbye to the tall ships
The regatta finale of The Tall Ships Races 2024 is behind us. Now it's time to say goodbye as the tall ships begin their sea cruise.
The first to depart were the smaller vessels, leaving the docks around 6 AM. The largest units of A and B class set their sails at 9 AM. One by one, at intervals of several minutes, they started moving up the Oder River towards the Baltic Sea. This sight put every sea and sailing enthusiast into a nostalgic mood. We celebrated together as the ships cast off and began to disappear beyond the horizon. Now they are catching the waves and starting another adventure while we hold back our tears.
Nevertheless, the sadness will be short-lived. Tall ships will certainly return to Szczecin. The important thing is that we have tons of fantastic memories thanks to them.
