Huge, majestic tall ships that have cruised thousands of sea miles around the world's seas and oceans, and are the main stars of The Tall Ships Races 2024, are already in Szczecin. The final of the regatta is truly starting!

The Tall Ships Races is one of the most important maritime events, attracting hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts of sea, nautical history, and maritime culture. This year’s final takes place in Szczecin once again, giving residents and tourists a unique opportunity to see the most beautiful and biggest tall ships that have ever sailed the oceans. Each of these majestic vessels tells its own unique story, and their crews are true ambassadors of their countries.

Right before noon at Nabrzeże Starówka, a symbolic reception took place for two vessels - Dar Szczecina and Zryw, which are hosting Szczecin's representation.

"You are our ambassadors, cultivating a long-standing and multi-generational tradition, so that the maritime traditions of Szczecin are still alive," said Piotr Krzystek, the president of Szczecin, while welcoming the vessels during the inauguration of the final of The Tall Ships Races 2024. "Events like The Tall Ships Races are not only a festivity for the sailors, but also for us - the residents of Szczecin. This is a city with a maritime history, where sailing is deeply rooted in everyone’s soul."
