News / We begin a huge nautical party
On Friday, the range of attractions will pick up at a remarkable pace. We are awaiting the arrival of the last tall ships, incredible animations for kids and adults, as well as amazing musical experiences.
In the morning, we will be welcoming the next vessels that will fill all the docks. We will witness the arrivals of Kapitan Głowacki (9 AM), the tall ship Guayas (11 AM), Pogoria (12 PM), and many more. At 9 AM, at the feet of the Dźwigozaury, we will also welcome the Nautical Representation of Szczecin, represented by the yachts Zryw and Dar Szczecina. After completing all their duties, they will share their decks to visitors. From 4 PM, you will have a chance to experience what the life of a sailor looks like.
Additionally, Friday will be the first day of cruises on the vessels. Ticket holders will embark on a cruise aboard the tall ship Wylde Swan.
The final of the regatta is also an amazing party with the best music. For music enthusiasts, four musical stages have been prepared. No nautical party would be complete without concerts of folk-shanty music. On the stage next to Bulwar Gdyński, starting from 4 PM, we will see performances by Ikrek, After Blues, Queen Anne’s Revenge, and Cheap Tobacco.
Meanwhile, on the local Szczecin Stage located next to the Food Port at Łasztownia, the following artists will perform: Kurz, Her Own World, Różanek, Jackpot, and Konrad Słoka & Chango.
On Friday, we will also see the first artists at the Main Stage at the foot of Chrobry Embankment. At 8 PM, The Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin and the band Ørganek will perform. This is a project of the highest artistic level that perfectly matches the prestige of the final of The Tall Ships Races.
For the youngest participants, there will be amazing animations in the Children’s Zone next to the Adam Mickiewicz Statue and on the WOŚP Square at Łasztownia. For parents and children, it would be a good idea to visit the Water Zone, the Eco Zone, and amusement parks on both banks of the Oder.
A spectacular highlight of Szczecin's maritime parties is always the march of brass bands from the park next to the Adam Mickiewicz Statue towards the Solidarity Square. In the afternoon, they will perform at Teatr Letni, marking the start of the VII Festiwal Orkiestr Dętych o Puchar Prezydenta Szczecina.
Throughout the whole day, visitors will be tempted by the aromas from the Food Truck Zone on Admiralska Street and Zygmunta Starego Street, as well as from the Food Port at Łasztownia. Worth visiting are also the colorful stalls at the Avenue of Artists and the West Pomeranian Flavours Alley.
See you soon!
