News / Where's the quay: the shanty scene at Żagle

16.08.2023

What would sailing be without sing-along shanties? Many sailors find it hard to imagine. This year’s event couldn’t do without the shanty and folk scene, where for three days bands from the whole country will perform.

The scene will be located near the statue of Hercules fighting with the Centaur in the central part of the Chrobry Embankments. It will feature many well-known shanty bands, and many more. There will also be bands playing blues, jazz, swing, rock and alternative music.

Concerts are planned for all days of the event. On Friday the performances will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Everyone is invited to join in the fun and sing along!
